Food is the best medicine and the best long term treatment available in any system of medicine, anywhere in the world. The Ayurvedic science of food and diet is vast and comprehensive and influences every aspect of one’s life. Ayurveda can provide great insight about specific foods aimed to suit and balance as person uniquely as well as how to prepare and cook various foods in proper form. Moreover, Ayurveda yields strong emphasis on food combining, what is safe for the body and what is improper, creating toxins throughout the body.
At Greens, Ayur Study Center, we have a skilled teacher and comprehensive facility for our cookery program. The Ayurvedic tridoshic, individually balanced food preparation in addition to tradition “Malabari” special recipes are taught under the guidance of Sumaija Asghar, who is a blessed cook with a very kind character. Under Sumi’s supervision students will have the chance to learn ayurvedic cooking and get a thorough understanding about healthy foods.
The cookery training sessions are organized to aid students in learning about their personal food requirements in relation to their personal constitution. Obtaining this knowledge will enable our students to apply these newly learned Ayurvedic principles in their daily lives.
Perhaps the most important factor of Ayurveda and ayurvedic cooking is its profound effect on health and well being simply from changing a person’s incorrect food habits. Wrong diet is responsible for 90% of physical diseases and it can also reduce or nullify the effects of herbal treatments. This is so critical and the main reason why Ayurveda places such strong importance on eating correct foods and learning optimal ways to prepare and eat appropriate food.
